  1. Dr. Frank Bisceglia, your book appears nicely presented, but I don’t think that tai chi has any relation to the Christian concept of God (or, even, “Goo” as you write here) so I don’t think I’m best placed to review it. Thanks for your time.

  3. I suggest you do an article about the 1974 historic visit to the United States by the elite Chinese National Wushu Team. There was a famous visit to the White House Rose Garden with President Nixon, Dr. Kissinger and other dignitaries. In October 2024 the team celebrated their 50th year celebration of the U.S. performances in Beijing and Qingdao City. After the U.S. demonstrations in 1974 they demonstrated in Great Britain (1975) and many other countries. These martial artists were the best of the best. It was the opening of China and Chinese martial arts to the world. Jet Li at age 11 was on this famous team.

There are many pictures available and a news video (poor quality) of the demonstration in the White House Rose Garden.

  11. This is a fantastic site. I have played Tai Chi (basically Chen style for over 23 years). This is my first time discovering the Yi jJin Jing style of qigong. It is so helpful. It is interesting that fascia (connective tissue) has become so “popular” now in the world of fitness, Pilates, etc. Do you have suggestions for other videos and/or dvds of authentic Yi Jin Jing.
    Thank you so much!

  12. Dear Graham, I loved your article on Kung Fu Tea the other day! https://chinesemartialstudies.com/2020/05/14/bjj-in-the-age-of-zoom/#more-10113
Is it ok to quote a piece of it in my own blog article, of course with proper attribution and links back to your own website, and also to the original article? It’s the bit where you talk about Zoom as the “methadone to BJJ’s heroin”!
I can send you a preview of my own article if that is helpful . . . ? Best wishes Kai Morgan (www.budo-inochi.com)
